Programs

Poplar Bluff Parks and Recreation provides a developmental and recreational program where kids
can have fun, develop positive character, mature, learn the skills and rules of volleyball,
understand the value of teamwork and sportsmanship, and build healthy attitudes about winning
and losing.

• For boys currently in 7th and 8th grade.


• Every player rotates into the game in the left front position.


• The receiving team rotates after their first side out.


• Players must serve from behind the service line.


• All boundary lines will be clearly marked.


• Games 1 and 2 are to 25 points with a 27 point cap.


• Game 3 is to 15 points with a 17 point cap.


• Each team receives two 60 second timeouts per set.


• Teams with fewer than four players at start time will forfeit.

• All volleyballs for games and practices are provided by Poplar Bluff Parks and Recreation.


• Please do not bring personal volleyballs to practices or games.


• Equal playing time is strongly encouraged to promote fair play and development.

Score is kept at all games. A single elimination tournament will be held at the end of the
regular season. Poplar Bluff Parks and Recreation may adjust rules as needed to support
safety, fairness, and positive play.
